Mission Statement
Hi everyone,
This is Masa.
The end of the year is a great time for me to dive into thoughts. I take time to reflect on what I do and why I do it around this time of the year.
I thought of what I have been doing with Asao project, what my original ideas were and how they have changed over the years before we hit our tenth anniversary in May next year.
And I summarised them as followed.
We started with the hope of creating a place that can continuously support those with ambitions and willingness to achieve their goals overseas.
1. We aim to create a society where people who have devised ways to maximise their own value can receive appropriate compensation.
2. We aim to co-create new encounters for people through language learning and activities.
3. We aim to create an environment that discovers, develops, and guides individual abilities to achieve.
4. We aim to be an organisation that can act flexibly by continuing to make course corrections.
We will strive to realise an environment where people of different nationalities can respect each other’s diverse values and cultures and live together lively, by providing intellectual excitement to the people of the world through the creation of learning.
That's it for now. I will keep them in mind and keep brushing them up :)

Testing ChatGPT4

Today, I have some information to share with you :)
1.
As every year, our operation runs as usual through the winter holiday period. If your teacher is taking a break, we can suggest and arrange a substitute teacher for you so please let Yuka sensei know :)
2.
The next event will be 2024 Shinnnenkai in February :) It is going to be either online or a mochitsuki if it is in person.

We are testing ChatGPT4 to see if it worth installing it. The attached images are made by ChatGPT4. We asked 「ゆるキャラ風とディズニー風のオリジナルのレプリコンを作って下さい。」 and they are what we got.
We also asked 「JLPT N5で出題される語彙と文法のみで犬に関する物語を書いて下さい。」 and here is what we got.
タイトル：「ハチのぼうけん」
ある日、小さな町に住んでいるハチという名前の犬がいました。ハチはとても元気な白い犬で、いつも遊ぶのが大好きでした。
町には、小さな公園があります。その公園はハチの一番好きな場所でした。毎日、ハチはそこでボールを追いかけたり、他の犬と遊んだりしました。
ある晴れた日、ハチは公園で新しい友達を作りました。その友達はココという名前の小さな黒い犬でした。ココもボールを追いかけるのが大好きで、二人はすぐに仲良くなりました。
でも、ある日、ココが公園に来なくなりました。ハチはとても心配しました。ハチはココを探しに行きました。
長い時間を探した後、ハチはココを見つけました。ココは足を怪我していたのです。ハチはすぐに人間の友達に助けを求めました。
人間の友達はココを病院に連れて行きました。ココはすぐに良くなりました。ハチとココはまた一緒に遊ぶことができました。
それから、ハチとココはいつも一緒にいました。二人はとても幸せでした。

タイトル：「ワンちゃんの大冒険」
むかしむかし、ある村に小さな犬が住んでいました。その犬の名前はポチで、とても元気なワンちゃんでした。ポチは毎日、村の子供たちと一緒に遊び、公園でボールを追いかけたり、森で冒険したりしました。
ある日、ポチは友達のネコちゃん、トムと一緒に川へ冒険に出かけました。川のそばで、彼らは美味しそうなピクニックをしている家族を見つけました。ポチはお腹がすいていたので、ほおずきを咥えながら、おねだりの目をしてみました。すると、家族は優しく笑って、ポチとトムに美味しいおやつを分けてくれました。
お腹が満たされたポチとトムは、再び冒険に出発しました。彼らは森の中で美しい花畑を見つけ、そこで遊びました。花畑にはたくさんの色とりどりの花が咲いており、ポチはその中から一番きれいな花を見つけようとしました。トムも一生懸命に花をかじったり、くるくる回ったりして楽しんでいました。
夕方になり、ポチとトムは村に帰ることに決めました。帰り道、ポチは疲れて足を引きずりながら歩いていましたが、トムはポチのそばをずっと支えていました。仲間の友達はいつも助け合うのです。
最後に、ポチとトムは村に戻り、みんなにその日の冒険の話を楽しそうに聞かせました。ポチは友達と過ごす冒険の一日をとても楽しんでいました。そして、ポチはその夜、幸せな夢を見ました。
こうして、ポチの小さな冒険の物語は終わりました。ポチは友達や美しい自然とのふれあいを通じて、幸せな日々を過ごしていました。そして、ポチの冒険は彼にとっての大切な思い出となりました。
Well...It is not N5 level...It becomes clear from the beginning where a noun modification and a gerund are introduced. It uses a grammar たり〜たり soon after that...They are all from N4.
The kanjis are definitely not from N5. Please do not worry :)
The frame work of JLPT changed to the current in 2010 so ChatGPT4 is probably still gathering old information....
Nevertheless, the texts are all grammatically correct and flow naturally and the register is alined so if you have a chance, please go through them with your teacher :)

Bits and Bobs - 1
Hi everyone
How are you?
This is Masa from administration :)
Since the start of our community, I have been lazy to work on our main website 😅 but I have finally decided to do it!
I will make updates bits by bits to gradually build it.
I have been ignorant about "website" partly because I also wanted to see how far we can go without it.
The website https://shamrocklanguage.com/ was originally made to reach out to those who are learning English so it was never really meant to be for those who are in need of Japanese lessons 😅
These days, as you all know, we can rely a lot on other free commercial medias like Facebook and Instagrams and so on.
And, as far as we are concerned, it worked!
In May 2024, Asao Language School will be marking 10th anniversary. We are planning to try new ideas as evey year so stay tuned!
